The box that holds the terms and conditions of your relationship with whatever deity that you claim has puzzled many through out the ages. We are talking about The Ark Of The Covenant. Modern media and lore will have you believe that this was a physical box made of wood and gold. I have absolutely no doubt that a physical representation of this concept was once made to promote the idea of what it is through time. The Bible certainly explains that there was infact a box that was made to house two tablets and this box traveled to many different locations. And it may be worth mentioning that once this structure and it’s contents were joined, it held an immense amount of power. But, as with most regalia and religious artifacts, the physical object was more of a prop to carry an idea through time.
Before it was known as The Ark Of The Covenant, there is a much older concept that was seen as a natural process to connect to the old gods (names vary depending on region), this was known as The Ark Of The Contract. This reference of the contract can be found in Jewish texts, and as far back as ancient Kemet or Egypt. Other theologies have different ways to explain the agreement between man and God(s), but it is usually in the form of some voluntary exchange, or deals between them.
Contracts? Deals? This sounds like the work of Satan himself, no? But in study, you can find that God himself makes several agreements and deals in the Bible as well, usually based on fairness or favor. I will fall back on the concept that when engaging in a relationship with the divine, you are engaging in a relationship with The ALL. Good, bad, and everything in between. Although, proper use of this concept will protect you from most of the bad, or the bad is a cost for a reward several times what is paid. Just like working with lawyers, the Spirit makes sure it is taken care of as well. Even though we have been lead to believe that there is a physical box, and the tablets that record the commandments within it, hold true power, maybe, just maybe, the story is there to remind us that our words have the power to create events and instances in the world.
So if we cast aside the idea of The Ark Of The Covenant being a gold clad prop, then what is it? It is an understanding. The mindset of the age when these ideas were formed was a tad bit more in depth than we give our ancient predecessors credit for. It is almost romantic. The box, was literally the edges of the “house“ so to speak. The words of the contract creating a structure for people to operate in up to the limits of the edge as agreed upon by both parties. We see this practice used in law, in relationships, and literally almost anything with a rule set. The outer edge of the box is the limit, while the commandments were vague enough to allow one to live life and prosper without being held to an impossible standard, in impossible situations. The main difference between a Covenant being used between people or businesses, and being used when communicating with God, is that the higher powers can effect much more in the world. To keep an agreement, the divine sometimes has to arrange instances and people in ways that aren’t always the best for those affected. This is where faith is tested, and if you can pass the tests, usually rewarded.
Dr. Jones may be upset that the Ark isn’t in a museum 🤣, or that the physical representation of it may not be found at all, but anyone can ask for a connection from up above. The Ark Of The Covenant is still alive and well, and it is used every day by believers around the world. When the highest of Spirit uses our words to come into the world, the golden ideas that cover our agreements, reflects light outward into the world. That observable phenomena of power can either create or destroy those that wield it.
Most engage in their beliefs with this being a mere concept of the basis of morality, but in truth, there are many, many utilizations of making agreements. To start one, look up into the sky, or lower your head in prayer (you will be heard either way 😊) and ask for it. Be understanding, and humble. Make small agreements on what you would like to see in life. Be true to your word, make sure to provide the required actions, and then, when it is Spirit’s turn to take action, you will see actual miracles come to be.
