To open a door sounds easy. You just operate the handle. Hmmm, what about a door with no handle? Try knocking. Ask to come in. Literally say out loud in front of others: “I would like to open the door of my mind to see what is beyond my physical world.”
Remember that once IN, getting OUT is not possible. You are EXPANDING your awareness. Even if you can condense it, you will remember what you see. Taking it lightly can lead to bad things. There are many ways this process can happen naturally — massive adrenaline spikes, traumatic moments, kundalini experiences, extreme bursts of joy. But for our purposes we will learn a set of principles, and then slowly exercise our way in with a smooth process to ensure it is a calm integration.
Many faiths and practices have leaned on the seven hermetic principles. The reason for this is because it is the base of physics as we know it — and if a thought process or an idea holds up to these principles, it’s considered airtight.
All is mind, everything is mental. Our physical reality is a mind operating and running, experiencing itself through itself.
As above, so below — as within, so without. At any scale or placement, similar processes can be seen within any observation.
Everything is in motion, nothing is completely still. At some level, regardless of perception, there is always movement.
Everything that is singular operates as dual. Opposites exist within observation for the function of defining the singular concept.
Everything flows in and out. There are patterns within the movement of everything.
Every cause has its effect, and every effect has its cause. Everything happens according to law.
Everything has masculine and feminine principles — gender manifests on all planes. Order and strength, chaos and compassion.
Using these principles and visualizing the movements or evaluations of whatever idea or concept you are working with, you can operate, observe, test, or run simulations in order to familiarize yourself with that concept. There are more advanced movements to learn, but self exploration is a required part of this process. There might be some turbulence going through the door.
To start, get comfortable and close your eyes. Create a visualization space in your mind:
Draw a line UP and DOWN. Then another intersecting the middle of the first line — this second line should go LEFT and RIGHT. Now draw a THIRD line. It should intersect at the same center point of the other lines. This line should go FORWARD and BACKWARD. This is your workspace to OPEN and CLOSE your door.
I suggest to START and STOP your mental exercises with an affirmation when you first begin them, in order to create a space to go into and come out of.
“I set this time and space aside in an area to expand my awareness and add to my betterment.”
You can create your own, but consistent use of your affirmation is suggested.
Let’s BEGIN by placing an image in the grid you have created. We will END when that image is back to its original form. In order to get the key OUT of an image you must get to the core concept of that image. Some common mental keys are: Food key, Dog key, Cat key, Life key, Size key — any idea or concept that can be reduced to a single source would be considered a KEY source to a DOOR.
Another way to do this is to work with concepts and then “reverse engineer” the concept into one piece of information, or a source concept. So the grid in and of itself is a work area to play with and manipulate ideas, concepts, images, or situations, in order to gain further understanding into the basis of reality. Regardless of frequency of use on the grid, always remember to anchor your physical reality — what is directly in front of you is what is real.
Polarity has a special place in this practice — for us to observe anything, it must have a defining side to it. Light is measurable. But what about its polar opposite — darkness? Can we measure darkness? No. The reason is because darkness doesn’t actually exist. We cannot measure darkness, we can only measure the absence of light. So in this case light would be a singular concept, that then polarizes in order for us to be able to perceive it.
Even the darkest room imaginable — speaking in terms of information — is still the brightest light of the universe under the conditions observed as a dark room.
We have worked on the mind. Now let’s condition the body. Rhythmic stimming is a great way to tune your body to the external signals that you receive throughout the day. By becoming adaptive and sensitive but open to sound, you integrate a bit more smoothly when reading environmental information.
Your body has an amazing ability to receive and “read” vibration. Some are more able to pick up on this ability than others — but just like any part of the body, it can be exercised. Using rhythmic stimming (tapping to create focused sensory input and output) you can adapt to reading external vibrations more clearly.
Music is a great tool to start the adaptive process. Start stimming to each of the instruments and vocals separately at first. Slower music is easier. After the body associates those stims to sounds, it will begin to create a recognizable response to external sounds and vibrations, sometimes before the ears can process them. After music, start stimming to nature sounds, external sounds, and even language — to hone the ability for your body to process this information in a conscious way.
